Krabi Trip - Day 1

Assalamualaikum everyone. So here is my story for the trip to Krabi, Thailand during May 2015. It all started when there was Air Asia sale going on. And i managed to grab the tickets for quite a good price. It was only RM179 return for KUL-KBX-KUL. Thank Allah i got to "bodek" my mom to book this ticket for our vacation. And she was all excited when i told her how amazing the beach and islands are.
Right after we landed at Krabi Airport, we paid for the van to take us to Ao Nang beach for 1050 THB. Take note that Ao Nang beach is located around 45 mins from the airport and make sure you book a hotel that is within walking distance to the beach for your own convenience 😉

The super comfy van stopped us right in front of Haleeva Sunshine hotel and i checked in right away. The room cost us about RM210 per room for 3 nights. But since it was still early that the rooms were not ready yet, we took a stroll to the beach. Hmm, just around 15 mins walk from the hotel. So we just waste our time looking around and since we haven't ate anything yet, it's makan time!
What is the point of coming to Thailand if you dont get to taste their delicious local street food? So we had som tam, as you can see in the picture. Tastes good but quite spicy (well i am kelantanese i dont eat spicy food haha). We also get to taste mango sticky rice. Quite sweet which is good. And also noodles with soup. Oh ya we also get to taste the famous nutella pancake! But i think the pancake is overrated. I mean it taste like roti canai. I think roti canai with curry taste better lol.
Since our hotel was located near the mosque, we can hear azan 5 times a day during fajr, zuhur, asar, maghrib and isya' prayer. Besides, near the hotel there are many halal food stalls. However still there is a pub just beside my hotel. Well there are plenty of pub and bar here in Ao Nang.

So there you go. My first day spent in Krabi. More to come on the next post. Stay tuned!

Thanks for reading this entry!
